Karen Walker

Chief Executive Officer

Karen leads the McKinney Education Foundation with a strong background in public education and nonprofit leadership, guiding strategy, partnerships, and programs that expand opportunity for students and educators across McKinney ISD.

She brings experience in strategic communications, community engagement, and foundation leadership, with a focus on building meaningful partnerships and advancing initiatives that directly support student success.

Prior to MEF, Karen served as Director of Communications for Anna ISD and Executive Director of the Anna Education Foundation. Her experience also includes roles with Region 10 Education Service Center and leadership positions across Humble, Celina, and Van Alstyne ISDs.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce and is a Certified Public Communicator (CPC).
