MEF Classroom Grants

MEF Classroom Grants give McKinney ISD educators the opportunity to bring innovative ideas and meaningful learning experiences to life.

All applications must first be approved by the applicant’s principal and then by McKinney ISD district leadership. Items requested through a grant must be available from an MISD-approved vendor. Eligible applications will be reviewed by MEF grant committees in October and November, with recipients announced and grants awarded in December.

Since 1991, MEF has awarded more than $1.9 million in educator grants, impacting more than 1,200 classrooms throughout McKinney ISD. In 2025 alone, MEF awarded more than $172,000 to help educators bring innovative programs, resources, and learning experiences to their students.
