MEF works with many donors throughout the McKinney community to offer scholarships to McKinney ISD students. The Class of 2024 was awarded $825,000 in scholarships

MEF Scholarship donors offer both academic and financial need scholarships.

Students who have been notified of full military scholarships or who have been awarded full athletic scholarships or any other full scholarships awarded by a college or university will be considered a low priority for scholarships awarded by the MEF Scholarship Committee.

Scholarship TIPS:

1. Capitalize your name correctly. Use proper grammar.

2. Please be sure the student is the one completing the application.

3. Focus on writing. Ask someone who will be completely honest with you to read/edit your essay.

4. Be smart about the people you ask to write a recommendation for you. Two teachers and one other community member are required. HINT: titles do not make your recommendation letter better or stronger.

5. Use an email OTHER than your McKinney ISD student email. This email will follow you to college. If you use your MISD student account, we may not be able to reach you after you graduate from high school.

6. Do not procrastinate. Leave plenty of time for your writing.
